2025 is off to a great creative start for Jacqueline Coates

With 5 workshops including painting and teaching coastal painting on Victoria’s  Mornington Peninsula responding to the incredible inspiration of the peninsula foreshore for a 5 day art immersion with a dedicated studio to explore the environment from and create a series of works.

A great time had by all and a very productive painting week. My large oil impasto painting is still curing in my beachbox. I was able to bring my other 12 paintings home to the Barossa. I will have these up soon on the website.

I found time to explore the coastal areas of Scarborough and Fremantle as well. Stunning area.

BLOOMING IN MELBOURNE AND PERTH IN JANUARY

BLOOMS PAINTING WORKSHOP resized vases of flowers dahlias etc reduced (Small)

The Coastal paintings were followed by my Blooms Painting Workshop in Glen Iris, Melbourne from Jan 14-18, 2025 where we produced gorgeous floral paintings and I taught two of my BLOOMS painting techniques and my BLOOMS PAINTING METHOD so students were able to create two large paintings each during our time together. Lovely paintings and the inspiration of summer flowers.

A newsletter will be issued early February with all the Blooms painting results from January. It’s amazing to see what total newbie painters can paint when they get the right training!

There was just enough time to get home to the Barossa for a few days then it was out the door to Perth,

Western Australia, where I have been teaching my Blooms Painting Workshop to two groups of students for 5 day workshops  at Scarborough and at Victoria Park and a One day event for teaching coastal painting.

January will be followed by some time at home in the Barossa Valley, enjoying painting my studio, the dogs and some planning time during February, March and April as well as a Barossa Blooms Painting Workshop.

I’ll be showing some paintings in a summer group exhibition at Wonderground Gallery, Barossa Valley, from 7th February, 2025.

Wishing everyone a great creative start to the year and can’t wait to share some paintings wehn I am home in February!

Love and paint brushes,
Jacqueline Coates
