BLOOMS FRANCE ART IMMERSION

May 7-17, 2021

For those who are fans of my Blooms Pain ting Workshops and the beautiful work coming out of my long term programs looking for a wonderful painting immersion, in the heart of the French countryside and the biggest access available working with me for a thorough grounding of the Blooms Painting Method where you will;

• Learn my effective and original system of painting called the Jacqueline Coates Blooms Painting Method® which accelerates your development and results to paint three midsize paintings. This is the Blooms Painting Method that has unlocked painting for thousands of people through online programs and in person workshops around the world.
• Become confident when you learn all about Blooms colour mixing and colour creation to make your paintings pop
• Paint like a pro when you learn how to handle acrylics and get the results you want including how to correct your paintings
• Enjoy delicious meals prepared by a French chef and aperitifs in the studio from 5pm.
• Enjoy a few local outings including a visit to a chateau and to the local markets and a Michelin Star restaurant
• Floral photography sessions to grow your Blooms painting reference library with spring blooms

Enjoy meeting in Paris, exploring some charming pockets of Paris, then travelling to the heart of France, where Monet painted 29 paintings in the Creuse region.

Stay in homestyle comfort in characterful authentic French villas. Guests each have their own room. Enjoy life in a peaceful French hamlet and gorgeous walks down country lanes bordered with chestnut and oak trees.

I will teach you how to handle acrylics EVEN IF YOU HAVE NEVER PAINTED BEFORE. I will also show you how to use water-based oils on a smaller piece.

French Art School

June 1-June 13, 2021

NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. SERIOUSLY!

A combination of touring and painting, in Paris, Giverny, The Loire, and The Creuse. This is about soaking up the inspiration following in the trail of the French Impressionists whilst enjoying comfortable accommodations where you will feel at home in Paris and the Creuse.

Paint in my French atelier while the chef prepares delicious meals.

Students enjoy inspiring day trips visits to Monet’s house and garden, the town of Giverny, Musee D’Orsay, my favourite Parisian Florists and  as well as painting in the atelier with me, and en plein air French Impressionist style enjoying working with a portable pochade or the French Box Easels.

Here’s what we will cover;

• Create a colour diary of Monet’s Impressionist colour palette
• The secrets of Impressionist paint application and colour revealed
• Paint like a pro with water-based oils
• Learn how to create a stunning diptych (two panels) painting from life
• Loosen up your painting style gaining movement and colour
• Master acrylics and learn how to use them expressively and productively
• Learn water colours with a French floral watercolour artist
• Painting on canvas and on artisan art papers
